Philosophy and Approach to Wellness

My enduring fascination with how our bodies function has led me to embrace the philosophy that wellness is cumulative, shaped by every aspect of our lives—from our past experiences to our daily habits. I believe that our overall well-being is influenced by a combination of factors, including nutrition, environment, and even our thoughts.

Educational Background and Experience

My academic foundation is a Bachelor of Science in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, with a concentration in Botany. Over the years, I have worked in multiple roles within this field, deepening my understanding of ecology, phytonutrient diversity, and the role of herbs in health. This groundwork set the stage for my broader perspective on holistic wellness.

During a transitional phase in my career, I served as an administrative assistant in a rehabilitation hospital. This experience revealed the importance of baseline health and demonstrated how an integrative approach can profoundly impact treatment outcomes.

Professional Development in Bodywork and Nutrition

Motivated by a longstanding interest in bodywork, I eagerly seized the chance to enroll in a Massage Therapist Program when the opportunity arose. Currently, I am a licensed massage therapist and certified reflexologist at a local spa, substitute teach at my local massage school, and serve personal clients. Working with these clients has highlighted the delicate balance of the human body and shown me how even small adjustments can yield lasting benefits.

My desire to better navigate the food system and reduce inflammation—for myself and my clients—spurred me to expand into nutrition consultation with foundational eating being the primary focus. I completed a Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences, further equipping me to help others achieve optimal health.
